The Department of Veterinary Public Health participates in the creation, development and implementation of policies within the scope of the department. Participates in the drafting of laws and sub-legal acts, programs and other acts in the field of veterinary public health, prepares analyses, information, organizes and collaborates with other competent authorities, sectors, international organizations and associations.

The Department of Veterinary Public Health coordinates the work activities of the following departments:

• Department for Safety and Quality of Food of Animal Origin;
• Department for veterinary - medical preparations;
• Department for animal by-products;
• Department of Animal Food Safety and Animal Nutrition.
