The sector for inspection supervision participates in the preparation of laws and sub-legal acts, programs and other acts in the field of veterinary medicine, the safety of food and materials that come into contact with food and food for animal nutrition, carries out professional cooperation and exchange of information between others sectors and departments of the agency, takes care of updating the records of the work performed by the veterinary inspectors and the state food inspectors at the border crossings and participates and implements activities at the international level in connection with the needs of the Sector. The sector takes care of the way of organizing and performing expert control of operators of food, animal feed and other natural and legal persons, in accordance with the valid legislation in the field of veterinary public health, makes analyzes and reports and performs other works in connection with public veterinary healthcare. The inspection supervision sector covers the control of food and animal feed during import, export, transit and re-export and the control of live animals during import, transit, export and re-export. The tasks of this sector also take place at border crossings, at border terminals inside the country and in warehouses where food and animal feed are stored or places where live animals are sent to be kept. The sector also controls food and products and materials that come into contact with food during import, transit, export and re-export.
