The professional support sector is an operational horizontal service of the Agency that provides professional and specialized support to the departments of the Agency and the Agency as a whole. The department is responsible for monitoring, implementing and managing quality systems in the Agency, coordination and control of the laboratories under the Agency's jurisdiction, consumer protection activities, strategic and operational planning, monitoring the implementation of the Agency's strategic priorities and monitoring the implementation of the Agency's annual work plan, analysis and evaluation of the Agency's policies and coordination between individual sectors and external institutions.
